Consultant for Late Nite Labs (a Macmillan Learning company) - responsible for the visualization and usability of the many complex and detailed science labs for deployment on the Late Nite Labs Lab Simulations platform.The role includes:• Leading the concept design and development for virtual science labs• Management of in-house & external design teams• Collaboration with subject matter experts and product stakeholders to translate educational and business requirements into meaningful experiences• User research, planning and exectuing usability testing• UX/UI design and prototyping for all aspects of the lab simulations to support workflow and achievement of learning outcomes• Logic and interaction design - working with engineering teams to connect the front-end, data and business logic layers• 3D design & development of lab environments and labware assets including custom designed instruments and equipmentIn this position I work closely with Product, Content and Engineering, within an Agile framework, to translate the ideas and requirements of subject matter experts into an immersive and engaging educational experience across multiple platforms.

As co-founder of Late Nite Labs I had the opportunity to create a product from an entirely new and unique vision – that of enabling students to study science by performing scientific experiments in a browser-based virtual environment and using accurate scientific data to drive the results. Ultimately this resulted in the Late Nite Labs Simulation Platform for chemistry and biology labs that was adopted by over 150 educational faculties across the US and used by more than 100k students.The company was acquired by Macmillan in 2012 as part of their New Ventures initiative and physics, microbiology and ecology were added to the educational disciplines.I continued to lead the production of the lab simulations as a consultant and Head of Product for Simulations until 2017

Head of a team of full-time and outsourced developers.Founder and Head of the Content Department responsible for content creation and providing professional services for broadcasters within the Interactive TV sector.• Concept and development of Visualizer - bespoke broadcast render engine for Conventional, Mobile and Web TV broadcast.• Management of all stages of content production for interactive TV broadcast (Conventional TV, Mobile TV and Web TV), including concept development, storyboarding, graphics development, integration and deployment.• Consultancy services for content authoring, including show concept development, content development strategies, graphic concepts and live broadcast operation of inLive's Content Creation Console.
