The New Hope Group of companies is comprised of Coal Mining, Resource Development - Exploration, Maritime Port Operations, Petroleum and Gas Operations and Pastoral Operations.During my time I have been tasked with ensuring all geological systems are operationally effective, provide technical guidance to geology and exploration team, review and ensure plans are effective: Budget, reforecast, exploration plans, and relevant long term strategy. Provision of effective geological services to New Hope operations and projects. Budget / reforecast productivities and timelines achieved in respect of exploration activities and geology. Identification and development of new business opportunities relevant to the New Hope Group. Provide support and appropriate resources for NHG due diligence and M&A activities. Participation in relevant industry and government forums.I have oversight of the Worker's Compensation claims process along with establishing the Health & Safety Framework for the exploration group.As an SSE I was charged with leading a team responsible for the development and implementation of a Safety Health Management System that allowed the Resource Development Department to carry out exploration and project development in a safe manner. Key to the role was assisting the operational team to take ownership for and lead safety in the business.

While working at BMA I was the leader that Implemented a process to improve the geological model (correlate the deposit to allow ply modelling), manage all model upgrades, review and implement appropriate quality testing, undertake a QC and validation process for same. Ensured data collected was QC checked prior to entering the database, manage exploration & Accurate Coal Surf budget for site operations, implement a process to better identify risks associated with highwalls, site clearing, drilling in high gas areas etc. Ensure all staff and contractors comply with BMA procedures, Safety Management System, environmental policy and associated regulations, generate/update previous items as required, complete work in required timeframe and manage staff and staffing issues. Provide input into the LOA.

While working for HOCHTIEF I contracted into Citibank. HOCHTIEF is one of the world's leading construction groups. In business for 140 years with more than 53,000 employees. My duties included design, tender, schedule and budget projects. Write and award contracts, co-ordinate subcontractors. Liaise with client, architect and consultants. Ensure all health, safety, building regulations and client procedures are adhered to at all times. Manage all budgets; cost to date, forecast, accruals PO’s and authorize invoices. Write new contract documents, special conditions and scope of works to reduce company risk.

Improve production due to better scheduling. Drilling included but not limited to gas risers ahead and into workings, virgin and compliance gas holes, Ballast, chip, quality, geotech, goaf holes and cementing of all above.
