I definitely love horticulture. I love how fruit and vegetables are grown, how they are stored, and how they are delivered to customers. Indeed, there is nothing better than enjoying good quality fruit and vegetables at the correct maturity stage and with plenty of shelf life left.Early in my career, I studied Agricultural Science, and then continued my education by completing a Master's Degree in Management (International Business), and then a Master's Degree by research (Blueberry modified atmosphere storage).I have enjoyed working for a number of large organisations in the Australian Horticulture Industry in all areas of the supply chain including field production, packing, storage, and retail. I have also worked for a State government research organisation, and for a grower association.My main interest over the years has been the system's approach to quality and postharvest. I am convinced that the systematic implementation of the best quality and postharvest technology and practices is key to the success of horticultural enterprises.My personal goal is to spread that systematic approach wherever I go.
