Within the IS/IT team responsible for the maintenance and improvement of Thales' Product Lifecycle Management tools. Mapping business needs on tool capabilities (requirements management), Incident Management and problem management.

As a process improvement lead I am globally responsible for the successful pilot and roll-out of our new cPLM process within the Operations part of all Personal Health related factories. Key issues to solve are: tackling IT issues, adaption of our business processes, improvement of legacy BOMs and training of personnel to the new processes imposed upon by our PLM tool Windchill.

Responsible for successful development of publicly funded research project opportunities and creation of external partnerships for industrial and manufacturing applications. The goal of these partnerships is to strengthen and fulfil future strategic needs in the development roadmap of Philips Drachten factory operations. As a Production Engineer I support the Production Manager. I am responsible for technical process related support within production. I make sure that operators are provided with all tools and instructions to operate the production line at the proper target. I am responsible for line efficiency (OEE) and act as a customer for the New Product Introduction department (NPI).

As a Project leader in the NPI (New Product Introduction) department of Philips Drachten I am involved in the realisation of production means and processes for new products (shavers / shaving heads).Our NPI department is the linking pin between the Innovation department and the production factory. Together with a cross-functional team I am responsible for the development and installation of the equipment (machines), tools (dies) and gauges (measurement equipment) that are necessary to produce new metal components in mass production. A continuous focus is Lean Manufacturing and the DfSS methodology. All projects are approached according to APQP.Besides realising new production lines we continuously strive for process improvements in order to realise a more cost-effective factory.

Extensive knowledge and experience in Finite Element Analyses on structures for Enron, GE, ASML. Experienced in development of technical software for data analysis purposes.
