What you might call an over worked/underpaid ruff and tumble county hospital. Mostly wonderful Spanish speaking patients. Generations deep Californians tracing their lineages back to California Norte. Hardworking migrant farmworkers for whom I have the greatest respect. And, to keep it interesting, equally as hardworking "Vatos" who, for the most part injured only each other, albeit frequently. Another fascinating patient population. Never a dull moment.

The ED had Family Practice and Internal Medicine residents rotate through our department for instruction.
