In my role, I spearhead health, safety and Wellbeing communication and compliance for subcontractors, clients, and tenders by controlling all safety processes, policies, and procedures. I also had the responsibility to boost workflow across all construction sites, ensuring transparency around internal health, safety and quality systems. Responsibilities include reporting and documentation processes, including monthly figure reporting, task observations, hazard reporting, and stakeholder reporting. As in my other roles, I complete incident investigations and reporting, as well as managed return-to-work requirements and processes. I planned, scheduled and handled external/internal audits, maintaining ISO quality management system integrity and accreditation. Key Contributions: Design and implement workplace, health, and safety initiatives across business units, as well as ensure company’s chain of responsibility obligations are met and maintained; Initiated Federal Safety Commissioner accreditation for federally funded civil construction projects. Achieved ISO 45001:2018 safety standard in March 2019 by improving key policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with business targets and objectives. Developed young worker program as part of community initiative to train youth in basic skills need to enter the civil construction industry. Set benchmark for operational improvement and change management by coordinating with Work Safe QLD to create and introduce organisational culture and climate LEAD surveys. Reviewing, consulting and communicating survey results to all stakeholders. Coached high-performance teams across all sites by creating and facilitating training programs, as well as leading emergency drills, staff meetings, and tool box talks.

In this contract position, I earned federal compliance and accreditation for manufacturing workshop by integrating business systems, policies, and procedures, as well as designing management systems. In terms of workplace safety, I investigated incidents and reported to stakeholders, as well as facilitated federal compliance audits with RAWS importation scheme. I maintained processes and workflow across workshop, managing supplier network, purchasing protocols, inventory, local and international freight, freight accounts, and tender processes. Key Contributions:Designed WHS&E processes, documentation, integration, and benchmarking, as well as ensuring COR responsibilities were met across all business units. Achieved federal approval status from the Office of Road Safety by creating and initiating quality, safety, and environmental accreditation management systems. After receiving a promotion, I headed national operations by leading multiple high performing teams totaling 96 employees across five national locations, leading procurement, warehousing and logistics, IT, and workplace, health, and safety strategies and systems. I supported the manufacturing unit by aiding workflow and maintain stock levels to minimise losses by providing support on stocking conflicts. As part of the warehousing and logistics operations, I developed and researched new products, ensuring alignment with company standards. Key Contributions:Improved local and national operations by analysing weekly performance reports to identify issue areas, leveraging data to generate targeted, innovative plans for improvement. Led HR processes, including recruitment and selection, as well as providing updating training manuals and procedures and meeting all labour budget goals; Monitored performance and trained team members. Organised facilities subcontractors, as well as lead the on-boarding and off-boarding of suppliers from Australia and New Zealand; Traveled throughout branch network to assess quality and provide training. I managed daily purchasing and controlled inventory for 40K stocked lines across five national locations, communicating with international supplier network of 120+ suppliers. In this role, I also maintained COR obligations for heavy loads, parcel pickups, and deliveries. As a key member of health and safety, I conducted investigations and identified safety hazards, reporting all safety breaches and investigations, as well as communicating with stakeholders. Conducted tender processes for national and international freight requirements for 15 suppliers, shadowing within first three months to ensure successful integration and alignment with best practices. Steer national WHS&E systems across all business units, conducting internal audits to benchmark performance against other business models; Maintained national protocols for Chief Fire Warden. Confirmed data integrity across multiple locations by conducting regular system audits, as well as managing internal/external audit and reporting processes, ensuring compliance across all sites.

First One Imports was one of the largest importers of vehicles and parts in Australia. The business spanned across three sites, Sydney, Brisbane & Townsville. Brisbane was the head office with a 10,500m3 site south of Brisbane.
