As the Dir. of Safety & Security, I oversaw all aspects of Health & Safety and matters related to security and investigations. I worked closely with executives in all functional areas and provided subject matter expertise and leadership on a variety of issues: safety, industrial hygiene, workers compensation, business continuity planning, internal auditing, workplace violence, emergency preparedness, DOT, CFATS, PSM, etc.

My primary responsibilities included: safety, WC, DOT, OSHA, IH, heath & wellness. I managed a team of 9 safety and WC professionals operating in 7 Western States. My Business Unit included 12 manufacturing plants, 30 distribution facilities, 7000 employees, and a commercial vehicle fleet of 2000 vehicles. I also oversaw 10 Johns Hopkins occupational clinics physically located in my facilities.

As an Area SLP Manager, I was responsible for 7 facilities in the East Bay Area. My Primary responsibilities included: WC and GL claims management, regulatory compliance, incident investigations, training, managing local safety teams, physical security, and crisis management.

As a DSM, I was responsible for 14 facilities in the Sacramento area. My primary responsibilities included: development and implementation of EH&S programs, WC and GL claims management, regulatory compliance, incident investigations, training, and hazardous materials. I was also responsible for the construction of 6 new facilities.
