During the six month project of method development I also conducted routine selenomethionine extractions on our production samples from our Brazilian and Serbian facilities while offering the same support to our customers. Gained experience whilst in Secondary school in the accuracy needed to work in a lab environment. From aseptic techniques to microlitre liquid transfer. It was in this department, after school 2-3 evenings a week and over holiday periods, that I learned to perfect my analytical skills from a young age and the importance of working within a research team.
