Joined Ashford to get back into the hospitality industry full time as Milton Fine began to focus on 1031 transactions in office and multifamily as part of his more conservative approach to his estate planning. In my dual role as VP of Asset Management and Underwriting, I focused on new investments as well as maximizing the value of the existing portfolio.· Led underwriting of all acquisitions and mezzanine financing for over $5 billion worth of investments including the acquisition of CNL for $2.4 billion and the Highland Hospitality/JER portfolio for $1.3 billion.· Underwrote all proformas and due diligence efforts submitted to the CEO and Board of Directors for final approval. · Performed all due diligence for acquisitions, communicated with senior management of all findings from third party PCA’s, ECA’s, market studies and appraisals. Prepared board packages to present opportunities for final approval by the Board of Directors.· Responsible for the asset management of a large diverse portfolio of assets including select service, full service and resort properties both brand and third party managed.· Oversaw capital planning, long term strategic plans, compliance with management and franchise agreements, as well as asset value enhancement through revenue maximization and cost containment plans facilitated through the property management and corporate teams.· Sourced acquisitions that came through industry contacts that were not mass-marketed and therefore not seen by acquisition team.

Joined FFC Capital to work closely with industry icon Milton Fine, Chairman and Co-Founder of Interstate Hotels Corporation (IHC) and FFC Hospitality. FFC also diversified its investment strategy to include multifamily residential, retail and industrial office assets while disposing of non-strategic hotel assets.· Ran complex modeling for all FFC Capital acquisition/development opportunities in hospitality, multifamily, student housing and office real estate spaces.· Negotiated Letters of Intent, Partnership Agreements, and Purchase and Sales Agreements for several Class A multifamily residential acquisitions and developments.· Analyzed and provided solutions to several complex 1031 exchange scenarios.· Assisted in due diligence for multiple university housing projects including feasibility and land assemblage for a $42 million student housing community at The Ohio State University, and a $29 million project adjacent to Duke University.
