Co-founder of the Emmett Till Interpretive Center and historic Sumner Courthouse. I oversee a community-focused museum and work to create conditions for restorative justice and racial healing. My main role is to fundraise and create space for our staff, partners, and community to honor the memory of Emmett Till for the purpose of racial healing.

The Monument Lab Fellows Program supports independent local, ongoing projects that address long term inequities in monument building and propose new creative approaches to public art and history. The Fellows Program features participants with a proven track record and vision for further growth through participatory engagement.

■ The WKKF Community Leadership Network is unique for its focus on: 1) advancing racial equity and racial healing in communities, 2) marshalling our collective resources and efforts to ensure all children have the opportunity to thrive, and 3) fostering a connected network of local leaders to drive transformational change.■ The WKKF Community Leadership Network brings together 80 inspiring and diverse leaders from across the United States and sovereign tribes, with cohorts based in Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico and New Orleans – the foundation’s priority places – along with one national cohort.■ The 18-month fellowship offers hands-on training, personalized coaching and mentoring, and practical experience.

As project coordinator, I worked with high school and college students on racial reconciliation and civic projects. Two pinnacle projects included a statewide Summer Youth Institute and a college retreat focused on barriers to social integration.
