My background has given me the opportunity to gain experience in multiple disciplines that make me an asset to any employer, and my education makes me an asset to the engineering field. The education I have received has provided me with the opportunity to study general classes in civil and environmental engineering, but more importantly has allowed me to experience working both individually and in a team setting to complete different design projects. My civil senior design was a concrete design class that introduced students to the ASCE 7 building code and design of a structure using three different methods of construction. My environmental senior design involved studying nanofiltration membrane technology and the retrofitting of an operating water plant.
