The tag IC has 154 bits of EEPROM for user data (IC design by Microchip Technology, Inc.).Wrote the firmware in C and assembly for Checkpoint's line of Access Control RFID tag readers (Performa). Wrote the firmware in C and assembly for Checkpoint's Slimline RFID reader for libraries. Wrote the firmware in C and assembly for Checkpoint's Portable Inventory RFID reader for libraries. Several hundred of these RFID tag readers are in the field.Designed an IrDA transceiver board for wireless download of data from Checkpoint's Portable RFID Reader to a server.Discovered and corrected many issues with the RFID passive tag: Out of spec ICs (high data rate), wire bonding problems, programmer hardware issues.Wrote all field service and test procedure documentation for Checkpoint's Self Check-out Station, Long Range Reader, and Tag Pad products.Characterized Checkpoint's short range antenna used in Checkpoint's Self-Check Station and Tag Pad Reader.
