Senior Purchasing Specialist
Current* Purchasing Specialist for over 18 years responsible for managing inventory levels of assigned vendor equipment lines including all Accessory products including Logitech, Microsoft, Kensington, Targus, Otterbox and Griffin products. Also managed inventory for POS products, displays & TV’s, Microsoft, Adobe & Symantec software, Belkin equipment, storage devices and computer media.* Responsibilities include maintaining inventory levels needed to achieve inventory rotation goals through equipment purchases and stock rotations of excess or aging inventory. * Build and maintain relationships with both manufacturer representatives and distribution representatives as well as internal departments in order to satisfy customer needs.* Responsible for making AS400 system cost adjustments as the prices change and updating the system with new products or deleting discontinued products.* Negotiate prices of daily purchases for stock and backorders as well as discount priced purchases for large quantity buys to make CDW competitive in the SMB market. Increased the discount buys by 149% on the accessory’s lines from $6,867,511 in 2013 when I took over to $17,097,660 at the end of 2018 by building relationships with manufacturer representatives as well as distributor representatives working with them daily and * Senior Account Manager in the Corporate Development Division for 3 years.* Sale and leasing of name brand computer equipment including computer hardware and software, peripherals, consumables and networking equipment.* Responsible for finding, developing and maintaining relationships with new and existing customers.* Provided technical advice to customers to assist in purchasing decisions* Participated in continual computer education to keep up with the latest technological developments, internally certified in networking, volume software licensing, Apple equipment and leasing.
