My role is working as an academy coach within the Foundation Phase. The main focus is trying to develop elite level youth football players in the UK and enhance them technically, tactically, psychologically, physically and socially. My role at AFC Bournemouth includes planning, delivering and evaluating training sessions and fixtures, liaising with top sports psychology and strength and conditioning professionals and following an Academy philosophy. This role also requires me to evaluate all coaching sessions and matches and ensure that the relevant information is recorded. A requirement for the EPPP is to deliver feedback to players and parents both formally in meetings, and informally as required. This will involve a formal report of conclusions and actions following the performance review meetings and I must ensure that these are recorded on the Club's Performance Management System. This role requires me to liaise on a regular basis with the Foundation Phase Head Coach to ensure that the needs of all players are catered for.

I currently work full time with AFC Bournemouth Football Development Programme as a full time coach and College tutor. The Football Development Programme is a full time course for 16-19 year olds and is delivered at the Goldsands Stadium in Bournemouth. Students gain nationally recognized qualifications in sport (BTEC Diploma in Sport), whilst training full time competing weekly around the United Kingdom against other professional clubs in the PLFL u19 Development League. My main focus as a coach is to help contribute to the development of future talent as well as further my own experience and career development.

It is also creating greater competition for academy places and develops more players the AFCB way. As a coach of the u9s and u14s, my job as a coach is to assess players identified at grassroots and directly compare them to what AFC Bournemouth has within the academy.

The aim of the Advanced Centre is to provide strong grassroots footballers between the ages of 7 and 11 with the opportunity to develop their technical and tactical skills and knowledge, through a top level coaching programme. The players will gain enjoyment through each of the sessions, but most of all will be developing as a player with an opportunity in progressing through the pyramid system in the aim of getting an invite into the AFC Bournemouth's Academy. I feel that as a professional football club, it is our responsibility to offer our services and expertise to assist in the growth of talented young players in our local communities

The FA Elite Coach Mentee programme is a range of constructed programmes to allow a valuable work experience across a broad range of opportunities which will allow me to gain and learn new skills and qualities to support the next moves in my coaching career. Throughout the year with the FA, I will be able to work in various departments such as FAYCD, Physical Education, NCD, WNCD, Mentor and CCD. I am also fortunate to be working with the U16 England National team and I will be involved in all of their training camps and matches throughout the year.
