I was awarded a contract by NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) for the design and development of a Drupal CMS website for their GeneLab / Astrobiology project.After receiving the initial work order, I produced a mock-up with their design requirements. After the design was approved I customized a series of themes for the site.After theme design came the installation and customizing of Drupal modules, some PHP and Javascript and extensive CSS and CSS3 Media Queries.Everything had to be developed with a user interface in mind for the research staff at NASA GeneLab. This included authoring new research articles, posting NASA events, posting new media such as video and images, and interacting with the public through a site forum and through social media.
