CurrentLevel 2 Manufacturing Engineer supporting empennage and tail cone for the 777/777X programs• Played pivotal role in a major structural redesign of the 777-horizontal stabilizer. - Presented new build plan at CDR to all stakeholders including designers, analysts, mechanics, management, and quality personnel. - Reviewed existing design and build process with experienced mechanics to capture lessons learned to improve producibility of new design. - Performed comprehensive reviews of detailed components including complex GD&T. - Provided assembly drawing feedback to ensure clarity, accuracy, and ease of comprehension. - 3D printed scale and full-sized models of new parts to enhance team discussions, test tool accessibility, and facilitate build plan ideation. - Gained familiarity with structural composite-titanium joints and numerous shimming methods. - Collaborated with tooling engineers to define tooling requirements for several new tools ranging from drill jigs for several hundred holes to air bladder tooling applying distributed clamping loads. - Participated in ongoing collaboration with Boeing India tool designers to develop tool concepts concurrently with the development of the build plan. • Collaborated with large cross functional group to manage non-conforming items and maintain configuration control of major sections of the airplane. Clearly communicated the status of key issues to several levels of management across many different functions.
