REST-based API and OAuth2 integration with third party services are provided to smoothly integrate with current incumbents on the market (Strava, TrainingPeaks).- Solely responsible for architecting, developing and maintaining the entirety of the software stack running on the platform. Primary technologies include: PHP5 (Laravel), nginx, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, Javascript (JQuery, amCharts), CSS (Bootstrap), OAuth (1 + 2), WebSockets (Pusher), Chargify (PHP, REST).- Solely responsible for administering the production server, containing over two thousand users by 2017.

- Provided telematics (embedded software) solutions for the automotive industry- Primary developer on a JNI library extension responsible for IPC between Android services and Linux daemons using DBus. Created as a direct replacement for the DBus Java package, the implementation provided a 20% performance increase across Android services utilizing the library.- Developer on a product variant with the overarching requirement being performance and platform improvements. Wrote a shared memory API to replace equivalent DBus method calls between Android services and Linux daemons. Speed per IPC call typically increased by over 100%. - Spent time with Android’s Dalvik VM layer to fix intermittent core dumps due to garbage collection. Provided multiple solutions, including modifications to the virtual machine for temporarily disabling garbage collection using JNI.- Designed and implemented web server prototype to provide E2E (End to End) communication between TCU (Telematics Control Unit) and a front-end user. Contained Google Maps integration and was written using a combination of C, Ruby on Rails and MySQL.- Primary developer for an in-vehicle wireless charging device using the Qi standard. Feature set included power management, usage of capacitance sensors, integration with Qi transmitter over I2C, communication over CANbus and a state protocol compliant with BMW specifications.

- Worked on CaseView, a word processing software that could be characterized as a hybrid of Microsoft Word and Excel. Developed primarily using a combination of C++ (MFC), ATL/COM and JScript, daily tasks included implementing feature requests, improving software performance and fixing issues with the application.- Specialized in dealing with performance issues and subsequently finding solutions, such as streamlining of recalculations, removing redundant legacy code, ensuring cross platform compatibility (XP, Vista, 7), replacing third party APIs with more efficient versions and refactoring of code to reduce lag during user interaction.- Redesigned modules of the Document to HTML exporter, including overhauls of document visualization, where CSS and JavaScript cross-browser compatibility had to be ensured (IE6+, Chrome, Firefox).- Implemented validation of exported data for standards conformity with the XML-based XBRL (eXtensible Business Reporting Language) Dimensions standard.- Using JIRA, regular communication with customers and distributors in fixing, or determining workarounds to pre-existing bugs in live software were made. Discussions were also held on how to meet requests or requirements on how to best implement requirements necessary for future releases of the product.

Required rewriting of incompatible build scripts and source code that no longer functioned during the platform change.
