• Directly supervise 2 Complex Directors, 4 Associate Resident Directors, 1 full time Administrative staff member, and indirectly supervise 5 Associate Resident Directors. • Provide overall direction of Residential day to day living. • Facilitate and implement the residential curriculum within residential area. • Establishes and maintains policies and procedures regarding area/building assignments, safety and security, keys, emergencies, and facility concerns that affect residential area. • Participates in the creation and implementation of professional development and training opportunities for the residential life staff. • Monitors, approves, and audits funds and expenditures for the area. • Facilitates awareness and provides leadership towards educating our staff and students in the areas of social justice and diversity education. • Participates in the recruitment, selection, training, and evaluation of residential life and conference services staff. • Serves as the primary emergency contact for the residential area. • Assists in administering the judicial process in conjunction with the Office of Student Standards.• Actively participates in the Residential Life strategic planning process. • Advises various departmental committees. • Assists with the summer conferences service program.

Responsible for the management and the health and safety of 1 apartment complex, housing over 500 upper-class and graduate students. Directly supervised, trained, and evaluated 10 paraprofessionals, 1 part time professional staff member, and 1 full time clerical staff member. Implement and train staff on the use of the UB residential curriculum within Flint Village.  Manage portions of an operating budget over 1 million dollars.  Point person for all apartment remodeling/ turnover efforts with numerous contractors, student workers, cleaning, and maintenance staff reporting to me.  Successfully managed a large capital improvement project that saw 236 apartment units receive new flooring, bedroom carpets, fresh paint, and repair work, as well as other miscellaneous improvements.  Coordinate various vendor contracts including landscaping, snow removal, and garbage removal. Co-Developed Departmental Paraprofessional Curriculum Designed and supervised the creation of numerous programs and events.  Serve as primary judicial officer and provide counseling referrals as needed while upholding all university policies and NYS laws. Taught paraprofessional leadership course.  Collaboratively worked on paraprofessional training and selection committees including designing assessment for both programs. Participate in the on-call duty rotation overseeing and providing conflict mediation and crisis response for five complexes housing approximately 2200 students.  Designed both active and passive events to educate students and promote community development. Evaluate and hire potential new staff members.  Designed a building evaluation for residents to assess their individual paraprofessional.

Responsible for the daily management of a co-ed residence hall housing approx. 200 students. Trained, supervised, and evaluated 9 paraprofessional staff members. Primary advisor to the Hall Council, facilitating leadership development for students.  Managed multiple programming budgets and an RHA budget of approx. 50,000 dollars. Developed, promoted and evaluated educational, social, diversity, and wellness programs. Served on multiple Residential Life functional committees (i.e. housing policy/ terminations, staff selection, and paraprofessional staff training.  Enforce campus policy and assign disciplinary sanctions as needed using community standards model. Counsel residents and give referrals to needed services.
