Created a formalised Design Review template and process. Defined the Product Development milestones and deliverables for Mechanical Engineering. This improved the quality of new product configurations, allowed for better planning, and improved knowledge sharing.Defined the BOM Creation Process, created a BOM Creation Checklist as well as a Master BOM structure, which reduced both the errors and effort in creating BOMs.Held bi-weekly DFM reviews with the manufacturing team, included manufacturing input at the early concept stage for designs, as well as at each milestone in the product development process. This improved the assembly time, reduced operator error, and standardised outgoing products.Introduced LEAN Manufacturing concepts such as 6 Sigma Project, 5S and value stream mapping.Contributed to the implementation of an entirely new Quality Management System, by defining specific procedures such as Production Concession and Engineering Change Control.Gained hands on experience in machining, soldering and 3D printing. Worked on two novel, complex platform projects at various stages of design, from concept to mass manufacture through 2019 - 2020.
