Tactical Operations Coordinator
CurrentWorking cross-functionally with Purchasing, Engineering, Supplier Quality, Containerization, Logistics and GM assembly / manufacturing plants to facilitate critical supply issues and business transfers. Our group handles short term capacity issues caused by broken tools or equipment, fires, floods, and any other related supplier shortage issues. We also play a critical role in the successful Business Transfer process for supplier changeover. Lead conference calls with business transfers and critical supply issuesLiaison between purchasing, engineering, manufacturing, logistics and suppliers to resolve issues and to provide technical supportDetermine the cause of supplier delivery problems and coordinate/implement effective and timely resolutionsAssess and assist in the development and implementation of corrective actions for critical supplier operational issuesImprove delivery performance of suppliers by identifying process improvements and lead time reduction opportunitiesMember or resource to product development teamsRegularly exchange information with others inside and outside the work group including GM and supplier facilitiesWork with Supplier Risk Management team with Troubled SuppliersKeep management updated frequently, consistent with the issue’s urgencyProvide Executive Reports as Required
