As Creative Producer, I work to support, communicate, and enable the execution of the artisticvision behind each production. I relay that vision to internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that each production is supported on an institutional level. This position works with leadership to create, and implement future artistic projects by matching resources with needs to execute effective programs.In this role, I also produce a variety of programming across media, including Steppenwolf's Half Hour Podcast (25,000+ downloads), program articles, and events.Additionally, the Creative Producer manages all facets of large scale presented works at Steppenwolf. Duties include: scouting opportunities, budgeting for prospective works, advancing technical needs, negotiating agreements and line producing performances. Examples of work include Mike Birbliglia: The Old Man and the Pool, and Audra McDonald in Concert with Seth Rudetsky.The Creative Producer also directs the production of the LookOut series, a series that presents 150+ performances/year from local Chicago artists.

The Artistic Producer is the hub of artistic information for Steppenwolf productions, coordinating the work of artists with the needs of the institution. As Artistic Producer, I produced a variety of high profile productions, including Downstate by Bruce Norris (Transfer to National Theatre of Great Britain), La Ruta by Isaac Gomez, 1919 by Eve L. Ewing adapted by J. Nicole Brooks, and ...Miz Martha by James Ijames.Additionally, I was one of two programmers on Steppenwolf's LookOut series. Responsibilities included scouting talent; generating and negotiating contracts; coordinating marketing, production, front of house, and box office efforts; line-producing individual engagements; and long term strategy for the programming stream.

Both years featured 29 unique shows over the course of 25 days.Handled correspondence between Ars Nova and all 500+ festival participants between the two years. Organized production information, marketing assets, and program information.Coordinated load-in, spacing rehearsals, technical rehearsals, front of house operations, and strike for all festival shows.

Supervised the creation and publication of diverse content of a research center positioned at the intersection of Arts Management concerns and Technology. Responsible for editing blog entries for current issues, reviews, and research while coordinating the Dialogues section with consistent podcasts and interviews. Established the overarching issues for the year and worked to effectively deliver online content to address those issues while staying in touch with innovations in the field.

Responsible for producing a robust season of performances at an art space for emerging artists. Season included 15+ theatre, music, comedy, film, and community events. Produced the Trespass Residency Series, an opportunity for three separate artists or groups to reside in the Future Tenant space for one week in order to plan, develop, and perform an all new work.Facilitated the production of the annual Future Ten Festival of New Plays, a production of new ten-minute plays.
