Patrick is a Senior Manager in Deloitte Australia’s Assurance and Advisory practice. Patrick brings with him more than 10 years of working experience in audit and accounting. ​He has served a portfolio of clients in technology, retail, trading, construction, oil & gas, property development, manufacturing and financial services of large multinational corporations and public listed companies.Patrick provides confidence to his clients through his passion for problem solving, understanding stakeholder needs and developing collaborative solutions to his client’s complex problems. He has experience in performing cross-border audits with numerous international offices from the United States, Netherlands, Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia and United Kingdom.He has experience across all areas of external audit including risk assessment, internal control, revenue recognition, fixed/intangible assets, consolidation, financial statements and group audit coordination. ​Patrick leads and coaches his teams to deliver an efficient and effective audit, leveraging technology and tools to meet deadlines and client expectations.​He coordinates with internal and external stakeholders and collaborates with specialists to provide solutions. Patrick is passionate about quality & transformation and leads the quality & transformation initiatives in his department including rolling out new technologies and processes.​Having been on large US multinational accounts throughout his career, he is PCAOB accredited and is familiar with the requirements of US-GAAP, PCAOB audits and SOX controls testing.

• Lead and guide audit team members as a team-in-charge for several multinational and listed entities, covering a wide range of industries, including oil & gas, logistics, packaging, trading, manufacturing, and financial services;• Perform review on Group Consolidation (i.e. permanent and current year adjustments, tax and cash flows etc). Perform scoping analysis, drafting group audit instructions to component auditors for group reporting, review component auditor’s working papers;• Perform review on cash flow projections prepared by clients for impairment assessment. Perform special exercises together with Corporate Finance department on impairment assessment;• Perform review on current tax computation and deferred tax computation prepared by the client.• Identify client’s control weaknesses and propose relevant control procedures;• Perform review on the predecessor auditor's working papers for the first-year audit;• Involved in Agreed-Upon-Procedures (AUP) engagement for government grant certifications;• Other scope of work includes the review of journal entries, local tax and deferred tax computation, drafting management letter, performed stock count, stock reconciliations and provide coaching and supervision to team members.

• Handled Treasury transactions including the transfer of funds to each department, repo placements, tracking of loan repayments and interest repayments;• Handled Cash flow transactions and manage the working capital of the company;• Performed impairment tests and prepare daily/weekly Cashflow forecast; • Prepared monthly and quarterly management reports for reporting purposes to Hong Leong Management Company;• Managed Forward Contracts and Interest Rate Swaps while liaising with banks and Hong Leong’s centralized treasury; • Prepared Bank Guarantee and Bankers Acceptance documentation accordingly;• Vouched payments to invoices and manage accounts payable cycle;• Conducted Internal audit for weighbridge and inventory.
