To quickly summarise my experience, I have been in the recruitment game for over 16 years within the Australian market, recruiting for small to enterprise companies across Australia, predominantly in IT. I have been in various Internal and External recruitment roles, an HR manager in the past and anything in between. My style is quite simple, no bullshit, consultative, will provide honest feedback and always thinking about the bigger picture. I rely on my relationships and my reputation as there are not many bald asian recruiters wearing thick glasses in the Sydney recruitment market. To be in the recruitment industry for this long and not from the UK, you have to be doing something right. In current times, with so many recruiters to choose from and with the industry not having the best reputation, this is how I would differentiate myself and add value to you:As a candidate;- Endeavour to provide opportunities that are the right fit for your particular goals and interests. It is your life and you will be in the job so I would never push a role that you are not comfortable with- Provide honest and constructive feedback as you go through the job seeking process and provide inside advice on how the recruitment industry works from a client and agency perspective- Provide career advice and challenge you to think about not just the next step in your career, but the step after that and always think 2 steps ahead, increasing your chances of having a longer more successful career-Help navigate through the tough times and work with you on proactive strategies when it comes to looking for work. If you are literally clicking on apply on various job boards and hoping to get called back, you might as well spend that time doing something you enjoyAs a client;- Listen. I will be attentive and look to understand your needs, pain points and what the remit is within your business and work with you as a trusted adviser and partner to make you successful- Provide quality candidates in a timely manner that meet your needs for the business that have been vetted and can add significant value to your organisation- Give honest and constructive feedback on the market, expectations, salary bench marking, trends and let you know whether your expectations are realistic or you are looking for unicorns- Solutions. When your product are people, there are so many factors to consider throughout the process, and I will ensure to keep it as smooth as possible or think about multiple solutions as potential issues arise- Accountability and ownership as I take my job seriously
