While I was in high school, I read Zig Zigler's landmark book called SECRETS OF CLOSING THE SALE because the discipline of sales fascinated me. I also read Dale Carnegie's famous book called HOW TO WIN FRIENDS AND INFLUENCE PEOPLE while I was in high school because it relates to sales. The discipline of sales fascinates me because it presents elegant real-world applications for fundamental theories that govern psychology, teaching, and economics. Besides my fascination with the psychology behind sales, I have always been interested in technical matters, and this interest has motivated me to build my own computers and study a bit of software coding since my high school days. Working as a solutions-based technical sales professional presents perfect real-world applications for my fascination with psychology and technical subjects. My early career was not devoted to the art sales; however, the desire to work in sales was always present. My sales career began after the company where I worked was sold, so I was gifted with a golden opportunity to finally enter my chosen profession. Despite having no prior sales experience, I was presented with an opportunity to excel in a senior-level position at my first sales job because I had years of managerial experience. My first sales position involved selling subscription-based software built on a cloud-computing platform that manages business operations for health clubs and medical clinics. My first sales position was at the Mindbody company in San Luis Obispo, CA; and this working partnership has been so rewarding because I do more than simply accelerate my company's business.
