I am an IT engineer with over 16 year’s experience. In my previous roles I covered forty sites across Greater London including a 150 user head office in west London. Desktop support at this office included face to face, home and over the phone support to the company MD, FD, Ops, and Sales and Marketing Director. Being the face of IT to the business, customer service was a key part in my role. I am one of the rare IT people who have the ability to talk normal English to customers rather than just tech speak, a benefit of coming from a business rather than technical background. To aid in remote support of the locations, all my site setups were documented to assist in remote support for the internal support desk. To aid my fellow field engineers, all new hardware and software setups were documented. In my current role I am part of a team supporting a global user base of around 500 users across 9 countries. Primarily supporting users and systems in our UK Head Office but also provide desktop and server support to users in our offices in other countries. I also provide IT support for two other businesses that are part of our group of companies, but not part of our infrastructure. I am also the Office 365 Administrator for our organisation managing over 800 users.
