At E.ON Energidistribution I am responsible for managing and developing environmental demands and issues. As I am solely responsible within my area of expertise at E.ON Energy Networks I am accustomed to work with both colleagues and managers at all levels in the company and with a great variety of environmental matters. The role involves a wide area of different environmental related questions and demands deriving from legislation, environmental management system (ISO 14 001) and corporate policies as well as internal and external stakeholders including contractors and customers. I am involved in many functions where environmental issues arise; hiring and follow up of environmental consultants, procurement of equipment and projects, contractor requirements, educations, audits, environmental risk assessments, self-monitoring, etc. It’s important to me to have external networks and forums within these areas both with authorities and colleges in the industry in Sweden and internationally. My job means I have a wide knowledge in the environmental area and that I'm used to prioritise and quickly understand and handle a wide range of environmental issues.

As environmental coordinator at E.ON Värme I was contributing with expertise in all types of environmental issues including applications for environmental permits, development of self-monitoring, carried out internal environmental audits, developed and suggested environmental objectives, KPIs and action plans for these, conducted ongoing reporting, improvement of environmental management system, etc. An important role was to be one of the company's links to the regulatory agencies and the public in environmental issues as well as represent the company in environmental associations. I also led the company's Chemicals group and designed and implemented environmental education programs.

I mainly work with environmental inspections/audits of medium and larger industries. The work involved close contact with environmental managers and coordinators and covered a wide variety of environmental issues such as chemical and waste management, noise surveys, control that laws and regulations in the environmental field were followed and that new one where implemented, considerations and decisions regarding changed environmental impact, opinions of permit referrals, etc. I also had the main responsibility for matters regarding soil pollution and chemical and oil incidents. The job also included contacts with the public, work with environmental objectives and indicators, environmental management system, etc.

The work included environmental inspections/audits of industrial activities, administration and inspections regarding complains from the public, considerations and decisions regarding permits, opinion of permit referrals, etc. I was the only one to work with supervision under the Environmental law (excluding agricultural issues) and my duties also included responsibility for planning and monitoring of operations.
