Patrick founded Scéno Plus in 1985 with the vision to develop a global and unique expertise in theatre design, by bringing together a complete range of integrated services under one roof. Since the beginnings, Patrick has personally overseen the design of an impressive number of arts and entertainment projects of all scopes, in Quebec and around the world. Over the years, he has been involved in the construction of numerous cultural buildings, including the Cinémathèque québécoise, Théâtre d’Aujourd’hui, Usine C, Centre Pierre-Péladeau, and Théâtre du Rideau Vert, to name just a few. He also coordinated the work of the Scéno Plus team on various projects, such as the two permanent theatres for Cirque du Soleil in Las Vegas at the Treasure Island and Bellagio Hotels, the Cirque du Soleil head office in Montreal, the free-standing Cirque du Soleil Theatre at Walt Disney World in Orlando, and the Cirque Theatre at the Beau Rivage in Biloxi, Mississippi. He also supervised the development of the Colosseum project at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, a 4000-seat theatre designed for Céline Dion's show A New Day, inaugurated in March 2003. While supervising the execution of these large scale projects, Patrick Bergé also had a more hands on involvement on smaller projects in Québec such as The Borealium, a multipurpose interpretation pavilion, integrated to the Centre de conservation de la biodiversité boréale at the Zoo sauvage de St-Félicien, opened in June 2003. Recently, he overseen the design and construction of The Venue; a 2,500-seat transformable theatre that was inaugurated in 2008 at Horseshoe Casino in Chicago, as well as the complete renovation of Studio A; the IP Casino Resort & Spa showroom located in Biloxi which reopened in 2009, Access Showroom at Station Casinos in Las Vegas and finally The Joint by Rogue at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas who just won the “Best New Major Concert Venue” in 2010 awarded by Pollstar magazine.
