I started Q Associates in 1999 after returning from four years working in the Middle East. My first project was a 6 months commissioned consultancy for a federal government minister in the United Arab Emirates. Since then I have carried out successful projects in Australia, Hong Kong, New Zealand and Thailand. Much of the work I do is concerned with one or a combination of the following.* Independent evaluation or review of organizations, projects or programs* Measurement, particularly advising on technical matters and assisting with the development of measurement frameworks* Project design and leadership (for optimizing success)* Strategy development and planning (for organizations and teams)* Facilitation and assessment of learning and professional development* Coaching, usually one-to-one, for senior managers/executives (recent years) After 14 years in Sydney I am now based in Perth, Western Australia.

Having coached people on a part-time basis for many years I established Bay Holistic Fitness and Self Defence in Sydney in 2008 then Exercising Smart in 2015. I continue to provide one-to-one and small group coaching to support people who are working towards higher levels of real holistic fitness. This involves both physical and mental training. My approach is guided by two main influences: modern exercise science (evidence based); and some of the principles and practices of respected Eastern martial arts, both Chinese and Japanese. More than half of my clients have been with me continuously for 4 or more years.
