As the Chair of the Audit and Risk Committees for the State Laboratory and Dublin DunLaoghaire Education and Training Board (DDLETB) I bring my finance, corporate governance and risk management experience to the oversight of the internal control environment in accordance with best practice and a commitment to continuous improvement.I have extensive senior executive experience in the public sector environment gained in organisations with both commercial and public service objectives. I am also an experienced board member of a non-profit company in the inspection & regulation sector. As a member of the NSAI Senior Management Team I was responsible for the Corporate Governance and Support Services portfolio. Activities within my area of responsibility included Finance, Corporate Governance infrastructure, Secretariat to Board and Board Committees, ICT, Legal & Policy, Quality & Risk Management, Procurement, PR & Communications, and Facilities Management. I had a central role in developing and delivery of strategy which guided the evolution of the organisation.
