This site has supported tens of thousands of teachers and learners from all over the world for nearly ten years. The goal is to broaden access to excellent lessons for more students. All of this is done for free and without advertisement. An alternate mirror site that was accessible everywhere without a VPN after the website host I used for my primary site became blocked in certain regions. I kept it going until I switched webservers so that my main site could be accessed anywhere in the world.

In 2021 I wrote all of the contents for the CAIE iGCSE Chemistry syllabus 0620 topics 9 and 10 for the syllabus with the first exam in 2023. Currently, I've begun work helping with their IB Diploma Chemistry textbook and will author some parts of it for the updated syllabus with the first exam in 2025.

Teaching IGCSE and helping to introduce IB HL & SL ChemistryOver the last few months, I've been working on a mirror website that contains essential resources, including revision guides that can be accessed in China without a VPN (my main site is hosted by a company that can now only be accessed through a VPN)

I was the founding head of chemistry, so built from nothing the entire department, including learning resources, lab equipment, chemicals procurement, as well as ensuring our storage and safety systems complied with all local and national safety laws and guidelines.

Teacher of CIE iGCSE Chemistry and Physics, IB Diploma (Higher and Standard Level) Chemistry and KS3 General Science. After the first year of teaching my students improved the school’s iGCSE average grade for Chemistry by 2.4 grades from the year before. Also helped this new site of an old school grow, tutoring their second graduating year which involved help and advice for applications to universities in the US, UK, and to a lesser extent, other countries like Canada and Brazil, , as well as the medicine and Oxbridge applicants. Initiated and oversaw the student science society “Mebics” which ran weekly workshops helping younger students understand science and performed demonstration practicals, again for younger students.

Line managed 4 other teachers and 1 technician. Ages 5 to 19 year olds, roughly 800 Korean students, all ESL, 120 in the IB diploma, 270 aged 13 to 16 studying iGCSEs.75% of iGCSE students got A* or A (52 students), 71% and 80% 7 to 5 in IB HL and SL respectively. Introduced the iGCSE Chemistry and IB Diploma, both Standard and Higher Level to the school.The student numbers choosing the chemistry IB Diploma rose from 50% to 85% of the cohort.Heavily involved in the university application process, including mock interviews. Created for the iGCSE students a formative assessment protocol based on the IB Diploma IA, EE and ToK presentation rubric.

Taught chemistry in one of the most academically selective high schools in China. Taught both iGCSE and A-level chemistry in a new English-speaking international department in an established Mandarin-speaking school. Helped advise and prepare the students for US and UK universities, including the first student to be accepted to Cambridge from that school. Provided advice and resources for the school’s successful application to offer the IB diploma.

Taught AS and A2 OCR Chemistry and AS Biology and IB Higher Level and Standard Level Chemistry in this large Catholic 6th form college in Lewisham which served largely underprivileged students in South East London.Helped introduce the IB program to this established and, for a long while, OFSTED certified Outstanding school and taught Higher and Standard Level Chemistry to the school’s first IB cohort. Personal tutor for 22 students starting in Lower 6th and seeing them through graduation, including advice, tutoring and compiling their references for their UCAS applications. Heavily involved in extracurricular workshops for both chemistry and biology throughout my time at this school, not limited to the examination sessions.

PhD in Molecular Genetics (abandoned); specifically the relationship between proteins involved in both DNA recombination in bacteria and DNA repair mechanisms.
