After graduating from the Marshall School of Business at USC in 1982, I spent almost 10 years working for CCH Computax where my responsibilities included production and logistics management. In 1992, I started Home Run Software Productions, Inc. to provide media duplication services to software companies in Southern California. In later years, we were known as Home Run Media Group. In 2016, I sold Home Run Media Group to HB Digital so I could devote myself, full-time, to running for City Council in Huntington Beach. I was elected in November 2016 and served in this role until December 2020. In July 2019, I became the CEO for the Bolsa Chica Conservancy.

Chairman, Blue Ribbon Infrastructure CommitteeCity Of Huntington Beach Mar 2012 - May 2012This committee is a volunteer citizens committee designed to explore alternative means of financing infrastructure needs in Huntington Beach. Specifically, we are dealing with above-ground infrastructure needs such as pavement, curbs, sidewalks, alleys, and trees. The committee is exploring the concept of Benefit Assessment Districts, where property owners from defined "districts" within the city would vote on a special property assessment to fund specific work in that district. This committee is expected to complete its work within 2-3 months, culminating in a recommendation to the City Council.
