About Patrick Broughton

I have 17+ years of experience designing electronics for industrial control systems, including sensors (photoelectric, ultrasonic, capacitive), amplifiers, and power supplies. I have extensive analog circuit design experience in all of these areas. I have written and debugged firmware for 32-bit microcontrollers using C and realtime operating systems. I have also written and debugged firmware for the Raspberry Pi using Python. I have experience with serial communication using USART's as well as industrial networking using Modbus, Profibus, Profinet, and Ethernet/IP. I also have some experience programming PLC's and HMI's.
