In 2002 a Pulp and Paper section was established based in Albury, NSW.Responsibilities included leading project teams, deputy branch office manager, account management and business development in the Pulp and Paper industry.Highlights:- Implemented a mill wide DCS upgrade and the Norske Skog Albury mill which was immediately followed by a PM rebuild where MIPAC managed the BOP electrical & automation engineering.- Main Paper Machine shutdown for DCS upgrade completed several days ahead of schedule saving the client several million dollars in lost production.

Process Automation Department within the Forest Industries Division.The Jaakko Pöyry group is a multi-disciplined engineering consultancy with a global office network concentrating primarily on the Pulp and Paper Industry and Energy sectors.Between 1993 and 2004 I have worked for several companies within the Jaakko Pöyry group as a Design Engineer with responsibilities primarily in the Process Automation area but also Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering and Software Development.Have extensive international project experience having been on long-term assignments in Australia, Finland and the Republic of South Africa. Have also held several short-term assignments (of 3 to 4 months) in Canada, France and Portugal.The Jaakko Pöyry Group companies included, Jaakko Pöyry, Jaakko Pöyry Flour Daniel and Pöyry and the group has recently merged with the Swedish ÅF group and is now know as AFRY.Highlights:- Pöyry was an extremely early adopter of digital engineering (since the 1980s).
