Note: I joined this company just after the mortgage crisis in 08/09 and commodity prices caused its collapse and closure. These were some of the brightest minds and best people I ever had the pleasure of working with and learning from. Worked with all levels of the organisation to ensure compliance with government recycling requirements and promoted process efficiency. Audited final disposition documentation for accuracy. Gathered information from downstream vendors to ensure that standards were upheld throughout the process. Educated and advised senior managers about the requirements and implications of Ontario's Electronic Stewardship e-recycling program. Assembled the documentation package to earn program approval status. Prepared flow charts to outline and analyze internal and external processes. Before the internet was used by the majority, I was inspired by the size of the Toronto Star Classified section in '94 & developed a short newsletter while attending Huron Heights High in Newmarket, ON.Trade Post Classifieds were intended to give students & staff a way to trade items & cash with each other while I made a small profit by selling the concept, collecting ad chits from a central location, designing the layout, writing short articles, arranging offset printing (had to make it "camera ready" by doing my own colour separation) & selling display ads (cold calls) to local student-focused businesses.The Students Council were paid to distribute the Trade Post to each councillors homeroom.The venture went well until I was hospitalized for 4 weeks when diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes.
