Established a healthcare telemedicine “startup” inside Jackson Healthcare (Connecting Kids With Care). We licensed the source code and technology platform from Alii Healthcare to support Jackson’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.Connecting Kids with Care works to provide orphans and other underserved people with better access to quality healthcare. We connect a network of medical organizations and professionals who donate their time to help those in need. Managed all aspects of the technology, handle partnerships with external organizations, represent the organization at conferences, and travel overseas to visit existing partners.

Designed and implemented the cloud architecture for the first iteration of the product from concept to launch.Worked for 100% stock compensation prior to funding- decided to keep my corporate job with benefits as my young daughter had a stroke and multiple brain surgeries in the summer of 2019 through early 2020.Relay has since found major traction and raised over $100M in VC funding.

Shipped a white label solution, so other healthcare systems (http://www.piedmont.org/patient- tools/piedmont-on-call) can easily offer telemedicine solutions.Created an SDK solution (http://getbondsdk.com/) so other app developers can integrate telemedicine solutions into their apps, using our doctors. Implemented full stack marketing automation, analytics, conversion tracking, and automated metric tracking.

SwipeLoyalty provided consumers with a mobile centered rewards MasterCard as an alternative to traditional debit cards. By providing free advertising and offer placements to merchants, we collected relevant rewards that we used to incentivize consumers to switch their banking transactions over to our card. Managed all aspects of the technology, including iOS / Android apps, banking integrations, onboarding / KYC, merchant analytics, ACH transfers (risk assessment), card linked offer platform, bank level security, and dev-ops.

Managed a cross platform (iOS/Android) team of developers focused on the core map product of the flagship Weather Channel mobile apps. In addition to mentoring developers, communicating with stakeholders, and managing product discovery, I was also a key individual contributor with the responsibility to write and ship key features. Shipped: Apple Watch Integration, Facebook Messenger Integration as a Messenger Launch Partner, and Hurricane Central (2015 season).

Zimmdot was my software development firm, providing software engineering consultation and contracting services to select high-profile clients including consumer brands, digital agencies, healthcare organizations, technology start-ups, and independent game studios. Clients included brands such as AT&T, Google, and Qualcomm.As a co-founder and CTO, I was involved in all aspects of business development, employee hiring/growth as well as managing our technology team. We typically had a staff of around 12 to 13 employees with the majority being developers, in addition to product management, QA, and account management. I directly supervised our two technical leads; one focused on mobile apps/cloud while the other focused on video games/interactive. In turn, each lead managed a team of 3 to 5 developers

Launched The Weather Channel iPad application in April 2010, which has consistently been the #1 Weather App on the iPad. After the Launch of the application; I took ownership of the app in a lead role. Previously to the iPad, I worked on the high definition version of the IntelliStar product line which is used to display current, local weather conditions on The Weather Channel. I designed and implemented many of the internal systems including portions of the real-time rendering engine, the satellite transmission protocol, and the embedded management console and monitoring application. Finally, I investigated and fixed numerous performance and stability issues required to launch the product.

Worked on MX vs ATV: Untamed for the Xbox 360 and PS3, the first "next-gen" title for THQ’s award-winning ‘MX’ racing franchise. Designed and implemented a data management framework to manage the large amounts of data needed to drive both the game’s User Interface as well as Gameplay elements. The data management framework included a custom written C++ embedded in-game relational database allowing the game to be as data-driven as possible. Combined many of the game’s existing rendering components into a complete object oriented UI solution. This solution supported multiple texture formats, bitmap fonts, vector graphics, flash animations, full screen video effects and data driven layouts to allow for a feature rich design.

Designed and implemented new features using C++, C#, T-SQL and scripting languages that required knowledge of all the software products as well as taking into account long term design, performance, external system integration, and implementation time. Advised developers on current process methodology and development standards as well as researched more efficient technologies and methods. Participated in the entire software development life cycle from requirements gathering and analysis through testing, deployment, and ongoing support.
