CurrentIn 2011, Patrick helped found IITTI (International Soft Skills Standards & Testing), a non-profit helping companies in finding new employees with good soft skills (good people skills), using a standard measurement called 'World Civility Index'.This Index is somewhat similar to credit rating, but instead of measuring how well a person can pay his bills, it measures a person's manners! Qualities like business etiquette, empathy, intercultural awareness. The concept is that job-seekers can get the credential based on the World Civility Index, as proof, to show to employers everywhere! From an employer's point of view, they get to raise company culture, with zero expenditure, simply by requesting job-applicants to have this credential, before coming on board. The Index shows a concrete measurement of how much a company cares about people skills and civility.Employees earn personal World Civility Index "points" by reading articles, watching videos, or attending seminars. They can display their own score in an app to show off to their bosses.Furthermore, a company can display a single "average" World Civility Index number for the whole company in a dashboard to give the CEO and management team some idea where they are at. A company can also show off this Index number in their ESG (environmental, social, governance) report to eliminate any suspicion of greenwashing. The World Civility Index is now a part of UN Sustainable Development.
