Community SPOKE seeks to improve the quality of life of all Ottawa County residents through a strategic, coordinated, and systemic response to human services needs. In the Spring of 2013 my wife Elyse and I decided to introduce a new health program to Holland, MI that provided access to free workout classes, education on both fitness and nutrition, as well as opportunities to participate in accountability programs. Healthier Holland is centered around a Free Workout Class that we host on Tuesday evenings throughout.

The OCHSCC is an established collaborative group that addresses issues that impact the lives of children, families and special populations in Ottawa County. Involved members include the Department of Public Health, Community Mental Health, Department of Human Services, Intermediate School District, Michigan Works/Community Action Agency, Circuit Court.

As Special Projects Coordinator for the Holland Rescue Mission I work on a variety of projects that relate to our revenue-generating businesses, improving our long-term client programs, developing business partnerships in the community and designing new training methods that give our men better opportunities in the workplace.

As a consultant both for Watershed Strategies and as an Independent I primarily look for new opportunities to design/organize special projects for Non-Profit organizations.

As Whittaker Associates' CTO, I play the role of an in-house industry expert. My tasks include in-depth industry research to observe trends and opportunities taking place within growth industries. The one-on-one interviews I conducts with industry executives provides invaluable information for our clients and helps identify location needs for companies on.
