The “Francofolies de Spa” is one of the biggest music festival in Belgium with around 170 000 visitors each year for 5 days. Created in 1994, the festival was inspired by the “Francofolies de la Rochelle”. It was a continuation of the “Festival de la Chanson Française”, a smaller event that occurred first in 1964 and lasted until 1983.The Photographer Team as the responsibilities to capture the images off the concerts, all organization infrastructure and the various related events like press conferences. The team is composed of around 10 photographers that work from 12:00 to 01:00, bringing more than 1000 pictures per day. Some of these pictures are used directly on the official web site and social networks. Others are used to illustrate the publication called the “Francoscoop” published daily during the festival. As the Photographers Team Leader my responsibilities are:Before the festival• Recruits photographers for the team;• Setup the work place for the photographers;• Plan the activities of the photographers to cover a maximum of concerts and events (between 120 and 150 concerts or events during the 5 days);During the festival:• Check and rectify all metadata associated with the pictures.• Produce and dispatch around 3 downsized and watermarked pictures for each concert or event to the social network management team.• Deliver the daily produced pictures to the “Francoscoop” publishing team.• Respond and provides pictures for the press media.
