About Patrick Sheehan
I am an analytical thinker and strategic change agent who enjoys developing innovative solutions to complex problems. I am a proactive, resourceful, and results-driven professional with a proven ability to develop strategies; create, plan, and execute projects; work effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels within (and outside) the organization; and manage budgets and staff. In a crisis I am able to pull together the right people and right organizations to achieve the best outcomes for my partners and for those we serve. Before a crisis I work with our partners to ensure that we are prepared for when bad things inevitably happen and work to reduce damages of future events and the likelihood that they will happen again.Prior to joining TEMA, I worked at the Ohio Emergency Management Agency from 2004 to 2016 working with a team of people motivated to serve Ohioans and ensure effective preparedness, response and recovery from disaster. I learned from that team and am privileged to have been a leader there. I'm known for being level headed in a crisis, for my optimism and for helping my partners find a great path forward to achieve the best outcomes and reduce exposure to future risk. I obtained my BBA in management from Kennesaw State University, and completed additional studies in business and public administration at The Ohio State University and Capital University. I also completed the prestigious Naval Postgraduate School’s Center for Homeland Defense and Security's Executive Leaders Program and Radiological Emergency Preparedness Executives Program. I’m a graduate of the Tennessee Government Executive Institute class of 2018 and was part of Leadership Tennessee’s Class VII. I am a member of FEMA’s Inaugural Vanguard Executive Crisis Leadership Fellows. Specialties: Leadership, strategy, operations management, incident management, disaster preparedness, crisis management, social media, public speaking, talent development.
