I focus my practice on asset-backed and mortgage-backed securitizations and have significant experience representing underwriters, issuers, asset originators, liquidity banks, warehouse lenders, investors, multi-seller commercial paper conduits and a rating agency in financings and securitizations of esoteric assets including PACE (property assessed clean energy) bonds (residential and commercial), solar loans, solar leases and PPAs, tax liens, structured settlements, marketplace loans (consumer and small business), trade receivables, tobacco litigation legal fees, aircraft and aircraft engine leases, student loans, subprime auto loans, credit card receivables, litigation finance, life settlements, whole businesses, residential mortgage loans (domestic and foreign), credit tenant leases, dealer floorplan loans, U.S. dollar remittances, Latin American project finance loans, utility stranded costs, payday loans and covered bonds. I am a member of the New York Bar and am admitted to practice before the State of New York Court of Appeals. I am the former chair (2015-2018) of the Structured Finance Committee of the New York City Bar Association (see the Committee's blog at: www.securitizationflash.wordpress.com) and the editor of two books on securitization: "Securitizations: Legal and Regulatory Issues"​ published by Law Journal Press/American Lawyer Media Group and "Getting the Deal Through: Structured Finance & Securitization" published by Law Business Research Ltd. I am also the co-chair of the Alternative & New Products Committee of the Structured Finance Industry Group and I have been quoted in Bloomberg, Reuters, the Wall Street Journal and Politico on securitization-related topics. I have been a moderator or speaker on (i) PACE (solar) securitization panels at the ABS East and ABS Vegas securitization conferences and (ii) marketplace loan securitization panels at Practising Law Institute programs during the last several years.
