Patrick Dewez is chairman, former CEO and a controlling shareholder with Hermès, of Bettina SAM, a luxury knitwear manufacturing company based in Monaco. He is also non-executive chairman of Blueberry Aviation SAM, a worldwide commercial aircraft and helicopter specialist firm.Mr. Dewez retired in 2007 from Knight Vinke Asset Management LLC, of which he was a founder and a principal. From 1985 to 1991, Mr. Dewez was with Kidder, Peabody & Co., Inc. where he was a Managing Director, member of the European Management Committee and Head of European M&A for four years. Prior to this, Mr. Dewez spent eight years with Merrill Lynch & Co., in New York, London and Paris. During that time, he gained wide experience in merger & acquisition advisory work in the US and in Europe and in raising equity and debt finance. He also spent three years as an equity analyst first with Kleinwort, Benson Limited in London then with Banque de Paris et des Pays-Bas in Paris.A UK citizen raised in France and Switzerland, Mr. Dewez graduated with a BS in Economics degree from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania in 1973, from which he also earned a BA majoring in International Relations. He obtained his MBA from INSEAD in 1977. Mr. Dewez is married to Anne Maxwell. They have two adult sons, Max and Theo.
