Canada Snowboard is the "national governing body for the sport of snowboarding in Canada and has been organized for the purposes of promoting, developing, and encouraging the sport of competitive snowboarding."​ The primary responsibility as Executive Director is to provide leadership and guidance to the employees of Canada Snowboard, and to develop, implement and monitor effective planning and management for both administrative and technical components in order to execute Canada Snowboard's Strategic Plan.
