Worked as a Transport Planner and Project Manager (PRINCE2 qualfied) and during my tenure dealt with numerous projects nationally and internationally totalling hundreds of thousands of pounds. The scope of my role at WSP included carrying out the bidding process for new pieces of work, attending client meetings and workshops, liaising with local authorities, analysing complex data and producing clear and concise reports. I also managed the staff and financial aspects of projects, whilst ensuring the project timescales were met.As well as my role as a transport planner and PRINCE2 project manager I also worked as the UK Travel Plan coordinator. In this role I worked with the UK Director of Sustainability to ensure that employees are travelling as sustainably as possible. This involved enrolling a Travel Plan Advisor in each of the 19 UK offices to act as an expert on sustainable travel to and from that office. I also initiated a reappraisal of the UK office Travel Plans, producing a graphically led, easy to use template that was populated by the various Travel Plan Advisers. This role also involved undertaking a UK wide study of current travel behaviour.
