Project Manager for the City Fringe's new Low Emissions Neighbourhood This tri-borough (Hackney, Islington and Tower Hamlets) improved air quality in the City Fringe area by prioritising zero emissions transport through five key themes, namely:Walking, Cycling and Urban RealmParking Supply & Traffic ManagementDeliveries & ServicingElectric Vehicle Infrastructure & Car ClubsBranding & CommunicationsAs a first of it's kind and with a budget of £3,000,000+ this project was a test-bed for innovative solutions to improve air quality, including the U.K.'s first Ultra Low Emission Vehicle Streets (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-45394100).

In charge of delivery of the Zero Emissions Network (ZEN) programme and positions within wider sustainable transport team, tasks include: - Coordinate the ZEN project while recruiting and managing corporate clients to take action to reduce their negative impacts on air quality as well as other related environmental impacts. - Act as an ambassador for the ZEN programme and provide technical support to businesses in delivering improvements in transport and heating related emissions as well as facilitating businesses to engage in wider environmental benefits. Responsible for initiating communications with local businesses to achieve the target number of recruited businesses for the programme. - Oversee development control and travel planning in Hackney Sustainable Transport team. - Coordinate the delivery and provide guidance and line manage ZEN officers in the adjoining areas of Tower Hamlets and Islington and also transport officers in Hackney (travel planning).- Official Hackney Council Mentor, overseeing the progression of new graduate with monthly meetings and pastoral responsibilities. 18 month update (October 2015):- 720 businesses recruited to the Zero Emissions Network (in excess of 400 business target)- 250 pollution reducing measures (provision of cycle parking, electric vehicle trials etc) delivered (in excess of 100 target)- Won 'Community Innovation' award at National CSR awards 2015, finalist in National Air Quality Awards 2015. - New twitter profile developed with 650 followers- New membership card scheme developed offering discounts to all members of network

This voluntary role invovles the management of the Modeshift London network and social media for the organisation as a whole. Responsibilities include:- Arrange and chair regional (London and South East) Modeshift meetings. Meetings provide a forum for all members (>70) to hear presentations from sustainable transport experts, to meet and discuss existing projects and to hear the latest developments in national and regional policy. - Develop Modeshift network by encouraging member and partner signup. - Manage social media for Modeshift and develop social media strategy.

Smarter Travel Officer tasked with improving levels of sustainable travel in Haringey. Multi-faceted project management role requiring input at all stages of the project life-cycle; this involves developing own ideas and projects, devising copy and marketing strategy (print, online, facebook, twitter, roadshows) and running and evaluating all projects. Managed nine projects totaling over £200,000 including:Active Travel Community Grants: In charge of funding schemes for up to £10,000 run by community groups. This has involved funding 6 different projects across 4 community groups. Projects range from providing bike maintenance courses to under 21's through the Tottenham Hotspur football club, to setting up a bike recycling/loan project for BME groups at a community centre in Tottenham.Stravel: Developed an online active travel hub website and smartphone application where users record active travel journeys in return for discounts in shops and on services. Events: In charge of the Smarter Travel roadshow and delivering calendar of events throughout the year. Have increased the number of event days from 23 in 2012 to 31 in 2013. Smarter Driving: Working with the business engagemne team provide sustainable driver training for usiness fleet drivers which has shown on average a 16% reduction in fuel consumption.

Worked as a Transport Planner and Project Manager (PRINCE2 qualfied) and during my tenure dealt with numerous projects nationally and internationally totalling hundreds of thousands of pounds. The scope of my role at WSP included carrying out the bidding process for new pieces of work, attending client meetings and workshops, liaising with local authorities, analysing complex data and producing clear and concise reports. I also managed the staff and financial aspects of projects, whilst ensuring the project timescales were met.As well as my role as a transport planner and PRINCE2 project manager I also worked as the UK Travel Plan coordinator. In this role I worked with the UK Director of Sustainability to ensure that employees are travelling as sustainably as possible. This involved enrolling a Travel Plan Advisor in each of the 19 UK offices to act as an expert on sustainable travel to and from that office. I also initiated a reappraisal of the UK office Travel Plans, producing a graphically led, easy to use template that was populated by the various Travel Plan Advisers. This role also involved undertaking a UK wide study of current travel behaviour.

Used a combination of creative and technical skills to create literature such as leaflets, newsletters and emails in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator to be sent out to the parish informing residents of the new scheme and who their new ‘Street Liaisons’ were.- Devised a recycling plan especially to reduce waste within schools
