Projects include major infrastructure construction and rehabilitation, such as roads, intersections, bridges, culverts, sewers, and water mains. Responsible for all phases of the project delivery, from inception through consultant selection, public consultation, preliminary and detailed design, permitting and approvals, tendering and construction. Monitor, track, report on project status, approve all project expenditures, arrange all related testing and commissioning. Recent projects include:-Albert St, Queen St, Slater St and Bronson Ave Integrated Road, Sewer, and Watermain Replacement. Budget: $47M. The project involves the reconstruction of approximately 1.4km of multi-lane urban arterial roadways, including utility relocations, replacing combined sewers with sanitary and storm sewers, and replacing watermains, all within shallow bedrock. The project also includes the full reconstruction of all roads, including curbs, catch basins, sidewalks, cycle track, bus stops and 4 new protected intersections.-Longpré St, Lebrun St, Marquette Ave, Michel Circle, Ste. Monique St and Des Pères Blancs Ave Integrated Road, Sewer and Watermain Replacement. Budget: $17M. The project involves the reconstruction of approximately 1.4km of residential streets, including the replacement of sanitary sewers, water mains and storm sewers. The project also involves the full reconstruction of all roads, including curbs, catch basins, traffic calming features, pavement structure and new sidewalks.-Ashburn Dr, Hogan St, Wigan Dr & Ness St Integrated Road, Sewer and Water Main Replacement. Budget: $12M. The project involved the reconstruction of approximately 1.8 km of residential streets, including the replacement of sanitary sewers, water mains and storm sewer spot repairs. The project also involved the full reconstruction of all roads, including curbs, catch basins, pavement structure and sidewalks.

My primary functions were to design and coordinate integrated infrastructure and transportation projects. Responsibilities included developing preliminary and detailed designs; producing specifications, quantity calculations, cost estimates and contract documents. Sample projects include:-Heron East Cycle Track - The project involved the functional design and detailed design for a new eastbound cycle track along Heron Road from the Colbert Pathway to Jefferson Street. Role: Developed options for treatments at intersections and bus stops, prepared a functional design and assisted with the preparation of public consultation material. Coordinated the geotechnical investigations, prepared the preliminary design, detailed design, contract drawings, specifications, item list, quantities and cost estimate.- 2016 Sidewalk and Pathway Renewal - The project involved the renewal of sidewalks and pathways at 11 sites across the City of Ottawa. The renewals involved upgrading the sidewalks and pathways to new AODA standards. Role: Prepared the preliminary design, detailed design, contract drawings, specifications, item list, quantities and cost estimate.- Reactive Renewal of Iris Street from Greenbank Road to Woodroffe Avenue - The project consisted of rehabilitation of Iris Street from Greenbank to Woodroffe, including pavement rehabilitation and reconstruction, new sidewalk and AODA improvements. Role: Prepared the preliminary design, the detail design, contract drawings, specifications, item list, quantities and cost estimate.- Near Navan Culvert Replacements - The project involved the detail design of 7 small diameter culverts near Navan. Role: Reviewed roadside safety, prepared the preliminary design, detailed design, contract drawings, specifications, item list, quantities and cost estimate.

The Rail Implementation Office is responsible for managing the design, procurement and construction of Ottawa’s $2.13 Billion dollar Light Rail Transit Project. In my role at the Rail Implementation Office I perform daily construction inspections; document construction progress; write daily site reports; managed the drill and blast programs for the construction of the western tunnel portal and central access shaft to ensure compliance to City special standard F-1201 and the Project Agreement; coordinate/manage projects as assigned; such as building pre-condition audits, survey monument installations, monitoring well installations, etc.; coordinate/facilitate design reviews; review construction vibration data; interface with city departments and stakeholders to obtain permits and approvals; and provide technical support to the chief of light rail design & construction, the construction compliance manager as well as the leads for the tunnel/geotechnical and civil/structural.

The Rail Implementation Office is responsible for managing the design, procurement and construction of Ottawa’s $2.13 Billion dollar Light Rail Transit Project. During my time as a coop student I saw the project go through the early stages of preliminary design, through procurement, financial close, and mobilization for construction. My role consisted of tracking consultant costs, developing S-curves, estimates to complete, estimates at completion, developing and tracking schedules, facilitating submittal reviews, and producing weekly cost reports. I executed an analysis to confirm suitable light rail vehicles based on ridership and vehicle specifications, analyzed ridership at BRT stations to determine the spatial requirements for bus bays at LRT/BRT transfer stations, drafted and reviewed Request For Proposal articles, created and delivered presentations, assisted in preparing internal cost estimates, developed and optimized processes, trained office staff on the design review process, and supported the development of a geotechnical baseline report. Provided technical supported to the Chief of Light Rail Design & Construction and Senior Project Managers.
