About Patrick Emde

My experiences in various work environments and cultures has made me an adaptable and curious individual. Through various work roles, as shown in my work experiences , I have been able to enhance and apply various skill sets into the workforce. I had the chance to work as a compliance intern at a regional office for Banco do Brasil. This tremendous opportunity allowed me to observe a large foreign Bank operate as a legal entity within the United States and abroad. I have also undertaken the role of Business Analyst Intern at Franklin Square Capital Partners. I was able to use a CRM tool, Salesforce, to demonstrate the efficacy of new, current, and old advisors. I would report on whether the aforementioned advisors were worth time or money to get them on board.Working under the Payment/Channels Director at Citigroup, I generated numerous reports regarding corporate transaction pricing. I was given the chance to operate platforms including Oracle Flexcube, Worldlink, and Paylink. I have created macros which can automate the real-time currency fluctuations of the LATAM regional pricing matrix.Working at Siemens, in the Finance/Accounting department (Shared Services) let me improve my Business Intelligence skills in multiple facets. As my primary duty, I was helping to build Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) by streaming other data sources such as in-house programs (EZ-X and EZ-Suite) or mega data centers, like SAP and PeopleSoft. I created ad-hoc reports and regression analysis within Finance & Accounting. This involved month-over-month, quarterly, and year-over-year reports. Items included account reconciliations, Service Line/Level Agreements (SLAs), Agreement Fulfillment rates, etc.One of my roles in recent years was that of an Account Analyst at Oracle. I was working in a new department stemming from the purchase of Micros. I worked with SQL-based, hospitality software, which controlled Hotel finances End-to-End. I worked with customers regarding Audits, Report requests, Discrepancies, etc. I ended up working mainly with Hard Rock Hotels as their account manager for Mexico.I had a contractor role as a Financial Analyst with Brambles/CHEP, a logistics company. I sought out to extend my contract and ended up meeting people within CHEP that wanted someone like myself in a role under the HR Umbrella. I then became a project manager for Kronos in LATAM. The scope of the project included Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico. I learned the importance of stringing together multiple similar projects, always following government regulations.Thank You!

  • Chep
    Financial Analyst
    Chep Dec 2016 - Jul 2017
    Orlando, Florida Area
Initially, I worked for CHEP as a Financial Analyst in the Finance Operations department. This role included applying Tru-Ups for products provided by Brambles using SAP, a powerful ERP tool. This role continued with myself auditing SAP and confirming or questioning contracts that may have been modified, new, or possibly not in kosher standing.Once my contract was coming to an end, I made contact with the HRIS department, this led to my second role with the same Organization . Currently I am the Project Manager for the implementation of Kronos in LATAM. Latin America has strict regulations regarding time and attendance, so my role has involved liaising with local teams by country as well as consultants for Kronos. Much of my role has involved making sure our software is compliant once it goes live. This involves in-depth communication with local teams as well as testing of the software. An example of this could be when working with Brazil. Kronos v7 could not be implemented as to be compliant printing through Kronos was required. Meetings with the local team and the Kronos consultant resulted in advancement of our project by means of an integration (interface) build. A quote was provided and a timeline presented, which allowed Kronos v7 to remain compliant by using their current setup to print, a major requirement in Brazil. Another example could be when I was working with Chile and needed to get licenses for the software being implemented (Kronos). I was able to reach out to a 3rd party company which provided Brambles with a quote much lower than what Kronos was providing. This experience allowed for many cost saving opportunities.I am excited about my involvement coming up with the Kronos project. I very much enjoy the Project Management portion of my role. My career will hopefully contain more of what I have been doing, namely Project Management. I very much enjoy working with a global team/org as well as using efficient corporate software.
  • Oracle
    Customer Technical Support
    Oracle Jul 2015 - Jul 2016
    Orlando, Florida Area
Worked as an analyst supporting multiple facets of Oracle's global hospitality software, Opera. I was also on stand-by as support for their POS systems, which interfaced with their Property Management Systems. I concentrated mostly on Latin America at my time with Oracle. I was not limited to LATAM, initially I was also working with North America, Europe, and Asia. Some of my roles included account manager, metrics analyst, SQL queries creator/manipulator, audit analyst, Server/DB support, etc. I am an Opera SME - Subject Matter Expert. Opera is a software acquired by Oracle when they bought out Sun-Micros. I was part of the Oracle team that helped restructure/support this product during the reorganization and integration of Micros. At the end of my tenure with Oracle, I was mostly working as an Account Manager for the Hard Rock Hotel cluster in South America. I was responsible for all of LATAM and directly responsible for Mexico. Delegation of all non-Mexican Hard Rock inquiries was my responsibility (Unless it was an emergency or within my realm of expertise). I delivered metrics on various subjects, including percentage of transactions being confirmed both on my end as well as their corporate team (My point of contact).I would often reconcile any differences found in OPERA. I would do so by running SQL queries on the right columns/tables and verifying the origin of the problem. I very much enjoyed modifying, altering, and creating content within Opera using SQL.I worked with both Customers and External Interface / Sales Account Managers in order to maintain corporate hospitality software running seamlessly. My duties were ad-hoc in nature, but there was a pattern to the work provided. Needs ranging from financial reporting to SQL database manipulation/report modification. On a day to day basis I would contact my customers in order to follow up with inquiries, customize/fix reports, optimize server/interface configuration and other activities.
  • Siemens
    Financial Analyst Crm
    Siemens Mar 2014 - Apr 2015
    Orlando, Florida Area
I worked as part of the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) team within the Accounting & Finance - Shared Services department. My direct team members and I dealt with database development (Oracle Business Intelligence 10g, a PL/SQL based software), which we used to deliver KPIs to the different sectors of Siemens. We also delivered crucial accounting reports such as monthly Accruals, Spend reports/Trends, Procurement Analysis, Business Process Engineering, etc. We worked side by side with Account Managers and dealt with the customers face to face, providing metrics acquired through dashboards and reports created and updated daily as OBI kept expanding. We worked closely with the Directors and Managers of each department (AP, AR, GL, C&R, TAX/Audit, etc.) gathering reporting requirements and ad-hoc specifications needed to deliver needed metrics. We revamped, built, and maintained the structure for new product lines being introduced into OBI; These include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger, and other finance/accounting related subjects such as Tax/Real Estate. This is being done alongside the Business IT group and the managers of each Product Line. On a day to day basis Ad-Hoc reports were requested by customers (and other stakeholders), while the rest of the time was mainly slotted for long term projects. We were in frequent daily meetings with our global counterparts as well as local colleagues who help manage the flow of data with their respective reporting systems and databases.
