Responsible for the Supply Chain Management for this manufacturer of rubber to metal bonded items principally supplied to the railways and commercial vehicle industry. Due to the safety critical nature of these parts, all suppliers are regularly inspected and audited under very strict quality requirements as per ISO9001/TS16949 and IRIS guide lines. Given the nature of the products and high initial production setup cost, a Strategic approach is required focusing on a tightly measured Supplier Performance & Supplier Development rather than replacement. Due to expansion in Asian markets my focus is mainly aimed at Chinese and Indian suppliers as well as West and Eastern Continental Europe for commercial reasons.From a procurement perspective I am also highly involved in finding engineering solutions for our customer's demands.

Manage all aspects of bid costing in tender stages, traveling to diverse sites in New Zealand, India, Singapore, Dubai, and Netherlands. Coordinate research and purchase of industry-unique equipment, meeting challenging timeframes while ensuring competitive prices. Key Contributions:• Drove acquisition of equipment, fuel, and consumables for the second largest marine salvage operation in history, encompassing $100M+ project based in New Zealand. Equipment ranged from hyperbaric chambers to launch / recovery systems and crew vessels.• Spearheaded start-up and establishment of warehouse equipped to support global operations.• Successfully secured mutually-beneficial deals with suppliers by forging and cultivating productive relationships.• Played an instrumental role in the timely and quality completion of projects by working collaboratively with staff, management, vendors, ship owners, insurance agents, and government officials.
