Director Of Event Operations
Current• Set and direct all standards, policies and procedures for event center.• Develop and implement a business plan and long term strategy for event operations increasing salesrevenue by 15%.• Conduct quarterly review of event operations to track productivity, effectiveness, and make appropriateadjustments to maximize workflow and efficiency.• Ensure department is working within budget and adjusts expenditures according to revenues.• Attend monthly board meetings with C-level executives to support event revenue.• Direct all day to day operations for event staff and sales department and delegate tasks to departmentheads as needed.• Lead event management/operation meetings to understand group needs, set appropriate expectations and gather critical information to communicate to event staff.• Manage all vendor operations including: food & beverage services, event rental supplies, event entertainment and janitorial services.• Reconcile all billing and invoices for events up to $175K using Micros, AMS, Compeat and Ctuit software systems.• Oversee, schedule, and manage staff of 40 people, including contracted labor staff, to successfully execute logistics for all events up to 2000 people.• Conduct individual employee evaluations, providing any necessary encouragement, training and feedback to ensure professional growth, performance success, and retention of happy employees.• Review staffing levels to ensure that client service and operational needs are met.• Ensure disciplinary procedures and documentation are completed according to Standard OperatingProcedures.• Maintain customer satisfaction to ensure retention and growth of the business through referrals and repeat events by cultivating strong working relationships with clients and vendors.
