Smiler is a multi-sided marketplace that connects consumers, photographers and venues through innovative on-the-spot photoshoot technology. As Head of Marketing & Communications, I oversee all aspects of Smiler's marketing and communication strategy, managing Brand, Demand, Design, Growth and Community Management team members.- Responsible for acquisition of photographer supply, growing the database from 3,000 to 20,000 photographers in 18 months.- Introduced a digital onboarding and activation process for new users, doubling activation rate and halving time to activation within 2 months.- Led a full rebrand, including briefing and managing creative agency and internal stakeholders. Led the rollout of new visual and verbal identity across digital channels, comms templates and merchandise.- Launched a new consumer-facing side of the marketplace through performance marketing, press and social media.- PR and media strategy that secured featured stories in TechCrunch, Tech.eu and Skift.

Kaddy is the fastest-growing B2B marketplace for the Australian beverages industry. At Kaddy I was directly responsible for all strategy and execution of Kaddy’s brand, marketing & PR. In my year at Kaddy the business grew 5x and executed a successful M&A deal that saw Kaddy sold to the publicly traded business DW8. Due to Kaddy’s brand capital, DW8 retained the Kaddy name and all branding for the newly merged entity.- Led 6 interstate marketing expansions to take the business nationwide- Grew trade customer base from 100 to 1,500 in under a year- Media strategy resulted in monthly data-led earned editorial in Australia’s 3 most respected industry publications across craft beer (Crafty Pint) and the hotel, bar and liquor industry (The Shout, Drinks Trade)
