My multi-city based team are responsible for risk oversight activities, facilitating the enterprise priority risk assessment, coordinating policy and procedure framework, production of the corporate Risk Appetite limits and structure, generation of Risk materials for a dedicated sub-committee of the Board, compiling Emerging Risks and incorporating risk management into strategic planning across one of North America’s largest IPP’s. The role involves frequent interactions with Senior Management, Board Members, and members of the C-Suite on all matters related to Risk Management. In additional to extensive senior level communication, it also requires a broad knowledge of North American energy and financial markets as well as federal and state regulatory environments where we operate. Some recent project/activities include; Preparation of the annual agenda and material for a Risk Sub-committee of the Board, Development of a Corporate Risk Appetite statement, Annual Risk Inventory, Risk library development for a GRC application and site visit to Uranium enrichment facility.

Associate in Constellation's Leadership Development Program - 1st Rotation Risk Management Responsible for reviewing financial risk embedded within 40+ Retail Energy structured transactions across Gas, Power and Load Response. In addition to a deep understanding of the pricing methodology, I built relationships with 20+ Retail BDMs and tailored deal specific analysis.Led high priority project of 10 team members to a successful conclusion by implementing all 7 recommendations laid out by Executive Committee. Involved coordinating efforts of 3 functions, putting in place a contract for outside services with two companies and associated IT integration.In addition to those responsibilities I led or participated in numerous other projects/tasks within my first rotation; Developed Load Response Market Risk oversight, Co-authored Risks' response to the Dow Jones Sustainability Index survey, Developed a presentation on the energy implications of Fukushima disaster and Led Corporate risk review of BGE SmartGrid Communication Plan.

Account Management - Analyzed industry best practices, existing customer make-up and sales force utilization to propose a new account management strategy for the company.

Responsible for 2 projects to test, configure, pilot, document and deploy new platforms for global engineering, procurement and construction. My role consists of managing the project execution function; people, safety, budget, schedule and quality as assigned by the Senior Project Director.

Key member of the business project development team working tendering for the management and operation of the low level waste repository and R&D of options for the NDA’s low level waste solutions. Responsible for the technical integration of a partner organisation in the pre-planning phase of the procurement and during the creation of the international consortium. This pre-planning phase involved the preparation of 70+ strategy and technical reports that covered complex scope of works that were completed prior to the issue of the tender documents. Preparation included visits to the Savannah River Site and Waste Isolation Pilot Plant in the US to understand how the US best practices can be brought to the UK for use in developing national LLW strategies. Responsible for delivering the consortium approach for improving management and operations at the repository, approaches included improved information management and integration of the business systems with right-sized business model.

Seconded as a project control’s engineer to the Sellafield site working in a newly created portfolio (£13m/$25m per annum) of nuclear waste (LLW & ILW) storage-decommissioning projects for British Nuclear Group. Assisted the client's programme manager in developing resource strategies and funding requirements, the development of a portfolio procurement strategy (capital and resource), resolving project lifecycle plan issues and strategic development programme. Key individual in the successful installation and migration to P3e\c within the UK organisation.

Responsible for the improvement process to improve the application of the existing quality management system (KISS-Q) and assembly plant production. Led an electrical fault task force that reduced assembly electrical faults by over 40%; this was achieved through numerous innovative initiatives that included automation of data flow between 3 information management systems and production team members.
