I am a Board Committee Member and General Medical Practitioner with board-level experience with particular experience in the health & medical industry. In an executive capacity, I am a General Medical Practitioner with 20 + years of working in Ireland, New Zealand and Victoria. I have previously worked as a hospital-based Anaesthetist.At board level, what I do is drive improvements in compliance and mitigate risk. I do that leveraging decades of practice management and financial management experience. Board level highlights include: Board Committee Member for VMCH’s Quality, Compliance and Risk committee (Villa Maria Catholic Homes), also Board Committee Member for Mercy Health Group’s Quality Board Committee. Finally, I have a Bachelor's BAO in Medicine (Honours Ophthalmology and First Place Biochemistry), and a Diploma Of Child Health. I have completed the AICD’s courses on Foundations of Directorship and the AICG Clinical Governance for Boards course.I have completed and passed the AICD company directors course, achieving orders of merit in 2 out of 3 examination components. Also, I am a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and a Member of the Irish College of General Practitioners, and the College of Anaesthesiologists Ireland.
